Media as Service

Woodstock Travels produces video and photo content for nonprofit organizations, schools, and small businesses in India and Nepal. We offer our services to organizations that need video and photo content to further their goals - fundraising, publicity, urgent appeals, and more. By creating these videos with professional and student crews we are able to help our students learn in the field as they have a life-changing experience abroad.

DIR INDIA: FUNDRAISING VIDEO

Developing Indigenous Resources India (DIR India) has done amazing work to transform a large slum area in Chandigarh, India. We created this video to highlight their groundbreaking healthcare, education, and nutrition programs. The video is used to raise funding to sponsor local children determined to be at risk of malnutrition and illness. Spending time with Dr. Asha, the staff and children at DIR, and accompanying them door to door in the community, was a highlight of our 2019 “Media as Service” trip!

HOMESTAY PROGRAM: EDUCATION & HEALTH NEPAL

We created this video for one of our partner organizations, Education & Health Nepal. Spending a night or two with a local family in a remote Nepali village is often a highlight of our trips. We collaborated with EHN co-founder Phil Palmer to produce this video promoting their homestay program, which provides economic support to local families and meaningful experiences for volunteers. For more information about EHN visit: www.EHN-Nepal.org.

RATBOY JR. “HEY FACE” MUSIC VIDEO

We collaborated with Hudson Valley-based band Ratboy Jr. and the students at the Shree Damgade Secondary School outside of Pokhara, Nepal to create this fun music video. Over two days our student filmmakers and the children of Damgade filmed, sang, danced, and had a great time!

FILM HERE NOW: A FILM BY SAMUEL LEVINE

Woodstock Travels is excited to share this video created by student Sam Levine, who joined our 2019 “Media as Service” trip to India and Nepal. Sam created this video inspired by his experience on the trip. The film was accepted into the All American High School Film Festival 2019!

EDUCATION & HEALTH NEPAL HEARING TEST VOLUNTEER VIDEO

When Education & Health Nepal needed to put out a call for volunteers to help with clinics utilizing a new mobile hearing and eye-sight test, they asked Woodstock Travels to create this video. Filmed and edited by Woodstock Travels students, this video was put to work spreading the word about this exciting new project. For more information visit: www.EHN-nepal.org.
